Calypso is a rich, well-balanced, light roast of Arabica beans with tasting notes of baked apple, chocolate, and brown sugar. This light roast is perfect for both the coffee aficionado who grinds and weighs the coffee for every cup, or the cold brew fiend who can’t get enough of a strong smooth cup with bright berry notes.

12 oz Bag - Arabica Coffee - Whole Bean or Ground

The ground coffee has a medium-coarse grind that works best with filter and immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pourovers (like the V60), french press, etc.

Whole bean coffee gives you the choice to grind your coffee the way you want! Can be used with immersion brewing like automatic brewers, pourovers (like the V60), french press, espresso, etc.

The Light Roast

Whether you are a coffee beginner looking for your preferred roast, or a coffee expert who obsesses over every grind, we cannot recommend the calypso roast highly enough. Light roasts have a higher caffeine content than darker roasts, making them perfect for a bright first cup of the day, or a pick me up in the afternoon when the hours start to drag. Try it out.

Where it Comes From

Salgar, Colombia

Coffee can be a dirty industry. From low standards of labor practices, to environmental damage, this is a luxury that we should look at with a critical eye. Knowing this, we needed to make sure that the Awesome Coffee Club was working with ethically sourced ingredients. That is where Sucafina and the Green Coffee Company came in. Sucafina put us in touch with small farmers cooperatives and the larger Green Coffee Company to make sure that we are sourcing the highest quality beans from farms that take care of their workers and the environment. Consume consciously.

Great Coffee for a Good Cause

The founding goal of the Good Store is to make amazing products that donate to a good cause. One hundred percent of the profits from The Awesome Coffee Club go towards building the Maternal Center of Excellence in Sierra Leone. We are committed to raising money not only for the construction of the hospital, but also to fund comprehensive training and staffing to tackle medical injustice at its root.

    My go-to coffee that I feel great about!

    Calypso whole bean has been my go-to coffee for 6 months and I'm loving it! I make it at home with my partner's fancy espresso machine as a cortado or latte and it performs beautifully in this setup. Delivery to my residence in Canada is seamless--I'm on a monthly delivery schedule but might need to up it because it's just so dang good!

    Amazing!

    This is my favorite coffee by far! It brews well cor espresso, pour over, and cold brew. I especially can taste the brown sugar notes in the cold brew I make. Very delicious, 10/10!

    Better than anything I can find in a local store.

    I have tried every brand I can find at my local grocery stores and this blows them all out of the water. Leaps and bounds above the whole bean offerings anywhere beside specialty coffee places. If I wanted to get coffee this good locally, I would have to go to a local coffee company, or to a fair trade co-op near my house. They also ship fast enough and have never given me any problems delivering. Love the stuff. First light roast I have really consistently enjoyed. Usually I drink dark roast.
